"All glory to God who is able..."

Psalm 73:25-26 says "Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire but you. My heart and flesh may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

This morning I woke up and wanted to read something from the Bible. I picked up C.S. Lewis' "The Weight of Glory". I don't know why I did. Well, I guess I did it because I often connect with God through books/sermons people have written... I read what they have written or spoken and go from there. But today the Spirit said to go to the Bible. No reason in particular, no profound message or answer for all of the questions of my heart, but a bit of encouragement. I opened to Psalm 73:25-26. It was on one of the note cards that Jordan made me several years ago for the first summer we were apart. Now that we are apart far more than we are together, I have truly seen the Lord as my all in all. These verses served as a lovely reminder and bit of encouragement as I battle questions of my own destiny (speaking of which, do you think it is a right practice to ask God what he's gonna do with you?) fully knowing that I am where I am because God has brought me here.

"My desire is burning like a million stars
And I'll keep reaching out, reaching out for You...
And I'd be nothing without You,
yeah I would die, if I didn't have you here,
if I couldn't look into your eyes.
Jesus if you're love's the fuel,
then I'm a desperate flame..." Phil Wickham, Desire.
