She's got a baby inside...

I have never had a baby myself (or even been pregnant, not that I really needed to cover that) but I sure do love when my friends have children! I finally understand all of the excitement and anticipation of waiting those 9 long months for a baby to come into this world. I had a friend call me today to tell me she was pregnant, and the first thing I thought after the initial excitement passed was, "I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS CHILD!!" Another precious little soul to love and hold... and feed, and change diapers, etc. Yeah, yeah, I know it's not always glamorous-- believe me, I know. I lived with a very pregnant woman my senior year of college, and then spent a lot of time with her two beautiful children afterwards (yes, twins- baptism by fire). I remember when her husband was fighting in a war overseas and couldn't be there for the first couple months, and the breath of fresh air it was to have two people to help with the two babies instead of just one very tired, scared, confused mother whose only rock was God and her children. GOODNESS the work continues. I feel tired just thinking about it ...but I'm so excited!!!!!! And I get to go see this friend soon. AH!
