Hallelujah, we've been found.
Getting married is kind of like waiting for Christmas Eve. There is a lot of preparation, and all of it is thoroughly enjoyable and at the same time can create a bit of stress because of deadlines. I mean, the date isn't going anywhere, and people are GOING to come. Jesus coming back is obviously more important than my wedding day, but it is very neat to constantly see how God uses this illustration of marriage to describe our relationship!
In terms of worship service planning, I am extremely excited for Advent and Christmas Eve this year! I don't know why, but definitely more so than any other year! I think it's because I have some really awesome music that I've been waiting to do again; but I know that's not the only reason. Planning for Advent and Christmas Eve, by nature, is SOAKED with ideas of anticipation, drama, expectation, joy, hope, love, longing, and how God fulfills every need, every desire, every everything because of this event that we celebrate! Worship IS all of those things and so for Christmas Eve, being a special service, I get to wrap all of that up into one beautiful service. Like a present! A beautiful and melodious present :).
My wedding will also be a beautiful and melodious present.
The end.
