Thankfulness

November 1-8

November 9 -  I am thankful for days off of work (for Matt) and the opportunity and provision for retreat. For the security of a job and health care, and the knowledge that everything is just for now. I am thankful for a loving husband and our God given capacity to experience love.
Psalm 73

November 10 - I am thankful for how God helps us and loves us even when we are weighed down by our "sin", greed, waste, abundance. I am thankful for God's work in me.

November 11 - I am thankful for church and the freedom to worship God here in the US. I am thankful for our veterans, and pray that they won't be forgotten and that God would heal their bodies and minds, and work good in their lives to help them, always.

November 12 - I am thankful for friends to share our home with.

November 13 - I am thankful for friends and people. For the many different kinds of people who are made to relate to each other in different ways, some more powerful and helpful than others... which is why I am thankful for all different kinds of people. I am thankful for women's Bible studies, even if some moments are cheesy and worthy of an SNL skit. I know they meet very important needs in the community and in my own heart.

November 14 - I am thankful for days off and this "rest" or "pause", as I'd like to call it, in my life. Thank you for Christmas songs, your sweet children, friends, and good food.
