What is the state of worship in my church?
Honestly, I do not know.
We got the service thing- we all want to help. What is our worship to God like? What does it sound like? What does it look like? INSIDE OF US, are we exploding with the desire to worship God? And how?
How can I ask someone who is a dancer to come up with a dance to a song, as a form of liturgical dance-- but also as worship? What does this person know about God? Do we have any one who is passionate about GOD first, and expressing it through dance?
We want this, we want that. We have the MUSIC only because there is someone who is passionate about worshipping God through music. We can possibly do art. I KNOW there are people with that. Calling all dancers-- do we have anyone who wants to do that?
I honestly think that my abilities are in worship-arts. I would thrive in an environment of Godly, creative people- being able to organize and use them in worship services. ...
Someone once told me that there is no such thing as "halfway" or "half-hearted" worship. I remind myself of that every single time I walk into any Sanctuary or worship space.
ReplyDeleteThere is an answer to this bigger question about what our worship is, but I don't have the answer...yet.
I pray for you constantly. Know that, and know that you are doing great things within the church. You are not alone in this.
