That's the wine I'm drinking--
One year ago, ten days from now, Matt would have been on a plane from Kyrgyzstan to America, headed back to Savannah and God only knew what awaited him! Our emails and phone conversations had begun about 2 months prior to this time last year. Ironically enough, Matt is STILL not home this week in 2011 due to Army work!
Anywho, it's been such a fabulous year. It's cold again, though it will be warm next week. I love living in Savannah this time of year! I wish there were more people around downtown to go out with (especially when Matt is away). For now, I will be spending the evening watching Jeopardy with bottle (I mean glass?) of wine in hand, and writing Eharmony (finally) about our modern day war-time romance!
For all those who have served, our troops who are still deployed, working away from home and loved ones, and their families, I give thanks.
