How He Loves Us, again.

I am really excited to sing this song on my last week as a worship leader in Savannah. As many times as we have done this song, with all this wedding planning, job ending, and moving, all I can think about is how very much God loves each one us.

In all our madness as His children, the mistakes we make, the inadequacies we feel and live into, the relationships we share, relationships that are broken, the things we do, and the things cannot understand... I am convinced that one word from God about His love for us, one experience with his love is enough to bring a overwhelming wave of emotion that also overwhelms all of our circumstances so that all we can experience is peace.

This goes not only for myself, but for those around me, and everyone, really... in your struggles, sometimes we just have to seek after and turn our lives into the deep, deep place of living in the love of God.

I mean, like everything that is created by anything, God pulled you out of the very most hardworking and loving part of his heart. His attachment to us exceeds our earthly experiences.

I know a lot of hard people. They have hard hearts, they have had experiences and lives that either allowed them to live without needing God, or decide that their problems aren't going to BE God's problems. What would it mean to specifically surrender to God right now? What would it mean to ask? Even with objective curiosity... It's not like you have to be in a hyper-emotional mood or worship service to experience God. What would it mean for the Spirit of God to wash through the room where you are? To willingly and specifically surrender yourself to God's love? To me, it is a strong wave that knocks me off of my feet, and takes me to deeper places in my relationship with God and with other people.

We have been going through a series called "Grow Up" for what seems like a lifetime at church, that is covering Ephesians. Every time I look through the scriptures, the instructions, etc., and every time I listen to what God is speaking to me about the Word, it is simply to be  in a right relationship with my creator. To let God right the wrongs I have done, to fall into Love and Peace himself, and trust him there. I don't know what I would do in this crazy busy world without a place, even within my own self, to be with Peace and Love.

That's all.
