I will tell the night/ whisper "lose your sight"...

-Mumford & Sons, Timshel

----------------------------------------- 8:11AM, not so early this time :).
I love discovering music. I usually call it discovering because it's been out there for a while and I've just not been out of my little bubble to have encountered it. However, there are occasions when music, as it should, simply moves your heart and makes you thankful to be alive. This is one of those moments:).

I'm listening to Cory Asbury & Matt Gilman's "So Good To Me".

-----------------------------------------1:00PM

I've got halos made of summer, rhythms made of spring.

It is officially Fall. I love the fall. "Give me something fun to do, like a life of loving you!"

We had a praline cheesecake type thing in staff this morning. THAT on top of Glee, and an awesome rendition of Revelation Song that I was playing last night... I'll be updating on the devotional our awesome Missions Director did this morning... gotta work now!

------------------------------------------ 9:54PM

Watching Bridget Jones's Diary because it is what was on when I turned on the TV. I was beginning to work on the presentation for this week, and as I searched through images to use as backgrounds, I came across some old pictures. All I could think of was the song from The Bodyguard, better known as "I Will Always Love You." Bittersweet memories, that is all I'm taking with me... I could totally relate to that song in ways I had not been able to when I watched that movie. Pity party anyone? A little encouragement for those who wish to have one, as I sometimes do: in the context of this song, the "I will always love you" part is a lie we sell ourselves, or buy into. For God created us to find joy and delight in Him, and so we must turn to the knowledge that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Infinite joy awaits us should we delight in our first love, God.
