Check your mail, did I get your address right?

... "I'd hate to think that anybody else might pick up all the love I sent for you." -July & June, Jillian Edwards

---------------------------------------------------This is a random post about life for Lindsay.

So, cleaning is not difficult for me. In fact, I do it very well (that's right, mom, you read correctly!). The problem I have with cleaning is that end up doing VERY LARGE chunks of it at a time. I can't just, say, clean the living room. This is what happened today:

I thought to myself, "I need to finish my painting projects- I need to clean my room- so, I need to get this laundry and stuff folded and put away- I need to do the laundry." So I start doing the laundry. There are towels in the dryer. I need to fold the towels- in the living room. That means I need to clean to vacuum the living room. There is no point in vacuuming without dusting- so I start with picking up the living room, which means hanging up all of the picture frames that have been laid out on the floor for hanging (I usually keep it pretty 'picked up' and clutter free anyway). SO, first, I have to hang the pictures. I hang the pictures, and dust the living room/dining room area. I pull out the vacuum, and vacuum the floors (after dusting the baseboards), the couch and recliner. I moved all of the paint into one of the spare rooms, which I later need to organize. Living room clean, check. I walk into the kitchen (which is where my washer and dyer are located) and get distracted by the dishes in the sink. I put away the dry ones, and wash the dirty ones, and begin cleaning up the sink area. My sink ALWAYS looks dirty. I hate it. I clean and bleach and clean and bleach and scrub with a toothbrush until my hands are peeling and it still looks a little dingy. So, I did that...cleaned the counters, and headed into the bathroom to clean the sink in there, since I already had the cleaning supplies out. Start cleaning the sink, move to the toilet, back out into the kitchen to clean all of the surfaces in there because as soon as I get the laundry out, I'm going to want to clean the floors in there.

SO, to keep track- in an effort to clean my room, I have deep cleaned the living room, dining room, bathroom, and kitchen. The laundry is now being folded and put away, and my room is STILL not cleaned. I guess that will have to wait until tonight. By the end of today, everything but the spare bedrooms will be perfectly cleaned and organized. I'll tackle the spare rooms this week, too, I think.

Cleaning is like an exercise for a healthy mind!

The end :).
