Bath tubs and baptisms

This is not a fancy post.

I finished my workout today, and I had one one more round than I had before. I had time to, basically. Naturally, when I got home I crawled (literally) into a warm epsom salt bath with the lovely passage opening aromas of lavender, lemon, and peppermint.

And I thought to myself... If I were really dreaming, and could splurge on anything ridiculous, that had nothing to do with anything, I would splurge on installing a bath tub personalized to my body and curves. My back would be supported, it would be long enough for all 5'8 of me (thanks for the height, ancestors), and there would be neck rests and jets, and every luxury for ergonomic lying down in warm water :).

That's all. Thanks for dreaming with me.

In other news,

Last week at church we had 57 people come forward to be baptized. We gave them the opportunity, we opened up the space for God to work, and He did. It was amazing. Some may say it was emotion, but I think God uses emotion. I think that, from on stage, I had the best view of God at work. I could see a physical change in the demeanor of people who decided to be baptized. I could see the light enter their eyes. I could see the determination and change that anyone who has ever been on the platform or in ministry knows isn't something caused by their words or songs. If you've ever preached or lead worship for a church, you know it was all God. I'm so excited about the things that are going on at my church (uccmanhattan.net), and what can happen when we offer ourselves to Him unconditionally. We'll see.

Anyway, here is a little bit of what we experienced 11/3/2013: http://vimeo.com/78722000
