Thank You Notes, Pt. 1

On the day of the first child's first cold of the season, I would like to take a moment (or five hundred) to be thankful. Instead of inundating you on Facebook, I will compose them all here. Stay tuned!

#thankyou Jimmy Fallon and the team at The Tonight Show for giving us an easy, and somewhat sarcastic way to express our gratitude daily.       Sincerely, a parent.

#thankyou Steam Sanitary setting on my washer, which allows me to feel like I have somewhat "cleaned" my sick daughter's sleep sack before nap time. Which reminds me, #thankyou morning nap, for existing today.       Sincerely, Germaphobe.

#thankyou Sweet Jesus, for creating babies who, if they must get sick at 4:30 a.m., are so squeezable and cuddly that it almost doesn't matter.     Sincerely, mom & dad.

#thankyou New coffee pot, for auto brewing 12 cups of coffee this morning and staying hot for a preset 3 hours.

#thankyou Darling husband who woke up this morning and said: Turn that [monitor] off. I'll go get her and play for a while so you can snooze. (WHAT?!)     Sincerely, #blessed.

#thankyou Nose Frida, for being the more disgusting than a blowout diaper.

#thankyou Adorable baby who is just old enough to mimic us and hold a thermometer to her forehead and put the nose frida in her mouth the wrong way.    Sincerely, Grateful for the cute.

#thankyou cold, for not being the vomit virus... yet.

#thankyou Target, for order online and pick up in store.

#thankyou Army, for moving us to a big city where everything you want is at your fingertips or  minutes away.

#thankyou AmazonNow
